Every year I like to look back at all the artwork that other people have made on DeviantArt and choose my personal 10 favorite pieces to help get some more attention for these talented artists. And unlike most places I actually waited for the end of the year to come before I post it. Hope you enjoy.
10. Bizarro
Marcelo Di Chiara drew this great rendition of Bizarro from the Superman comics. It has some great lines through out it, as well as some nice damaged textures in the background. Also Bizzaro attempting the classic Superman glasses disguise is just amusing.

9. Trick or Treat
I featured this artwork from Jose Johann Jaro (aka lazeedog) earlier in the year for Halloween on my blog and I still really love it. The expressions on the kids faces are priceless. The details in this work really stand out to me, like the Star Wars Pillowcase, and the knock off quality of the Wonder Woman costume.

8. the Horrible and the Hammer
Jeffrey 'Chamba' Cruz constantly puts out a high quality of work and maintains his own style. I couldn't help but enjoy his fan art for Joss Whedon's Dr. Horrible Sing Along Blog.

7. Batgirl
Loston Wallace provided lines for this artwork and the colors where done by Nate Lovett who I've seen at a couple comic cons now. I love both the smooth lines and the dark tones of this. It gives off a great retro comic, or Saturday morning cartoon vibe.

6. sheepskin
Daniela Uhlig just made this for her ID on Deviant Art, but there I really love it. The face is so well done, and whole wolf in sheep's clothes in combination with expression really makes the image. Go and Check out her site and new book. She has fantastic work all around.

5. Something Wicked This Way Comes

As a photographer I don't tend to look at that much photography as much as I look at comic books, drawings and paintings. So I don't have too many photos that make it into my DA favorites folder. Mariana Filipovic has a great image of model Lea Biljman here. It has a great mood, great colors and light, and has something beautifully retro and classic about it as well.

4. Pirates vs. Ninjas
Pirates vs. Ninjas has been one of those ongoing internet debates/memes. I'm endlessly amused on how detailed an illustration Roboworks makes of the whole things. It takes a lot of time to makes those details so be sure to click to look at it in full size.

3. Superman

There is seemingly nothing extraordinary about Dan Panosian's Superman. But it's crisp lines, bold colors, and pure elegance in it's simplicity (thank you Middleman for that line!) that really make this image stand out and a great work of pop art.

2. Point99
I love the mix of the very unique hand drawn creatures interacting with real word objects in this photo by Lora (whom's last name I can't seem to locate. ) I had it up as my wall paper for a long time. It kinda creeped out some people who saw it.

1. Wolverine vs. T-Rex Parts 1 & 2

Ok, so the number 1 piece is actually two paintings, but they come together well as one work. Andrew Hou admits to painting the first one on a whim not really having any idea how Wolveirne could win. A while later the second image appeared on his site. I'm very amused by both and the quality is suprub. I'd personally love to be able to get a print to hang on the wall.

Lexington Comic and Toy Con
Just a quick heads up, I'll be at the Lexington Comic and Toy Con this weekend. Stop by and visit me at Booth 1001.
I'll have prints of a lot of the sketches you've been seeing lately and will be taking commissions all weekend long.
Ultimate Con Aftermath Con Alt Delete
Upcoming news first. I'll be at Con-Alt-Delete this weekend (Dec 18-20) in Rosemont, IL. Con-Alt-Delete is an anime, sci-fi, comic convention. This is my first time attending the show. It's not a big show, but it looks like people have alot of fun at the event. So if you have some down time after watching Star Wars, come on out and visit! http://conaltdelete.com/
Last weekend, I was at Ultimate Con in Chicago, IL. For every convention this year, I've been writing up a journal entry about the event, complete with photos of commissions done for people at the con. If you would like to check out images and info from Ultimate con, visit http://ww
Devious Journal Entry
This weekend come out and see me at Mighty Con Milwaukee this Sunday, Nov 22. I'll be there with some of the group drawing prints and doing commissions on the spot.
Last time there was a plethora of artists and fans packing the venue. So come early and check it out!
A Year Gone
I've been away for a while. I'll admit to losing some desire to come and post on Deviant Art. With Tumblr and my own site, it's lost a bit of it's glitter. But I've come back to share what I've been doing over the last year.
Also, I'm gearing up for a fun project starting Jan 1, 2016. I'll be posting a new drawing every day next year. EVERY DAY! That's a lot of stuff to draw. While I have a very long list of things that I want to draw, I want you to be involved too.
I'm opening up commissions and set up a shop here - http://www.hallopino.com/store/ - as a space for you to come and order drawings that you can keep of the characters that you
